It is located in one of the best areas of central Wells, just five minutes walk from the Cathedral and Market Place, and there is an excellent pub/restaurant (The Fountain Inn) at the end of the street.
Furnished and equipped to an exceptional standard, the cottage is cosy, comfortable and full of character with exposed beams and oak doors with Suffolk latches.
Downstairs at Stable Cottage, access is via a little gate into the private garden (with bench seat and barbecue) and into the kitchen / dining room.
Designed by Domani Kitchens, this is beautifully fitted with a double oven cooker and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, auto washing machine, kettle and toaster.
The kitchen also features an Italian ceramic floor, customised lighting, a large window overlooking the garden and a dining table with four chairs. The range of kitchen units include pull-out basket storage ideal for fresh vegetables, fruit or bread.
All of the equipment, utensils and modern conveniences required for a comfortable self-catering holiday are provided, including high quality china and glassware. Tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk are provided for guests on arrival.
Two steps down from the kitchen/diner there is a lovely sitting room with Foehn and Hirsch 19 inch TV/DVD with 'Freeview' Channels and PC input, CD player and radio. This room features a log effect electric fire and mantle surround, two double sofas with throws and cushions, coffee tables, full length Liberty curtains, and windows to the front and side of the cottage.
A flight of stairs leads from the kitchen to the landing and first floor.
Upstairs at Stable Cottage there are two bedrooms - a master double with feature brass and metal bed frame, and one room with a single bed. The single room also has space for either a comfy camp bed or a cot.
The fabulous designer bathroom has a kidney-shaped bath with double power shower over, a low level WC and basin, and non-slip sparkly flooring.
A short and lovely walk from the cottage leads past the rugby pitches to Tor Woods, Tor Hill and The Park - an area popular for walking, exercising dogs, playing sports or having a picnic.

Stable Cottage has full gas central heating (combi boiler) and double-glazed windows. A travel cot can be provided on request. One or two (small) dogs most welcome (not allowed in bedrooms). Parking directly outside cottage 6pm to 8am (no restrictions: 50 yards up road beyond yellow line). Bus stop is 100 yards away (main Bath route). Public transport is excellent so a car is not necessary when you stay here.
