The ground floor of the cottage is full of character and beautifully furnished. It is open plan and features a stone fireplace with burner, exposed beams, a large arched pine mirror, original paintings, local antique prints and oriental rugs.
There is a very comfy double sofa with pretty scatter cushions and throws, and a matching upholstered footstool. For entertainment, there is a remote control flatscreen TV/DVD with Freeview channels, a portable CD/radio, a games compendium, books and magazines.
In addition, a basket filled with local tourist leaflets, maps, guides, walks and a comprehensive Helpful Notes folder has been compiled by the owners of the cottage.
This folder contains details of - coffee houses, pubs, cafes and restaurants in Wells - as well as information about open markets and shops.
The kitchen area is fully fitted and has a gas hob, electric oven, hood, fridge with freezer section, automatic washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle, and excellent quality china, glass, cookware and cutlery. Salt and pepper, tea, coffee and sugar are provided, plus washing up liquid, tea towels, kitchen roll, cling film and rubbish bags.
The cottage's dining area has a pine table and matching chairs.
A linen tablecloth is provided.
The staircase leading up to the bedroom is fully carpeted and has a most attractive feature stone alcove.
